New Features

  • The phase pull tags have been reduced in height to increase the number of activities that can be viewed
  • The Master schedule lanes can be minimized when not in use to save space
  • When a master activity or milestone is moved to the phase pull working lanes, they retain their scheduled dates
  • If a Master schedule activity is imported into phase pull with a trade name that matches the plan, it populates a trade tag
  • You can undo a Master milestone deletion
  • New Power BI reports: Gantt view of phase plan, Master schedule to phase plan comparison, Master schedule to weekly plan comparison (see examples below)

Fixes

  • A progress indicator is shown when Master activities are being imported
  • Lane presence history has been improved

Tip: Import milestones from your Master schedule (P6, Asta etc.). Drag and drop them on to the plan and track progress of actual to schedule milestones. A days late alert will show on the Master milestone and an alert will be on the delayed milestone.

Go to the Import Master Milestones section in the Visual Planner user guide to see how to import Master schedule milestones.

Master Schedule vs. Plan

There are two reports that provide a comparison between the Master Schedule (P6, Asta or similar) and the phase and weekly work plan. To make this comparison, there needs to be a data connection between the activities in the master schedule and the plan.

If the master schedule has been imported into the plan, this connection is made automatically using the Schedule ID from the Master. This ID will be brought into the phase plan when activities are imported and brought into the phase. This enables the tracking of changes to the schedule, planned vs actual, when phase planning (scope, sequence, and duration) and in the weekly plan.
