Through a native integration with Microsoft Power BI, Nialli Visual Planner offers a variety of comprehensive and flexible reports in Microsoft Power BI. These provide project teams with various insights into the health of a project simply as a by-product of day-to-day work and coordination. Included are extensive filtering and customization possibilities using Power BI tools.
Each of these reports can be customized to suit the needs of each organization, or new reports can be created using project data. Creating new reports will require some level of skill with Power BI.
To utilize the Power BI reporting, users will need to install Microsoft Power BI Desktop
Generate Power BI Report
In Nialli Visual Planner, with your plan open, select Reports from the menu (left side/ribbon menu)
- Select the Export tab
- Choose the Show Analytics button
The application will export all data from the current plan and auto-launch PowerBI using a default template containing some sample reports. Each sample report will be displayed in a series of tabs along the bottom of the Power BI screen.
Power BI Functionality
There are a variety of filters on the left side of each report to easily allow you to segment the data. This includes filtering on date ranges, trades, work areas (lanes) and a variety of other factors. Additional filtering is available by hovering over graphs or selecting graph objects.
